John A Castillo an Application Engineer by day and an Astrophotographer by night. “This is the best exploration ever - I love the stars and planets!” It all started when John was a young child growing up in East Los Angeles. His aunt gave him his first telescope for his birthday. Just seeing the craters of the moon and the rings of Saturn made John excited and happy to follow his heart. As he continued to pursuit his craft, he started taking Photography and Astrophotography courses at school.
Today, he has an observatory out in Temecula, California, where you can book an excursion and camp outside to photograph the night skies illuminated with glistening stars and planets. So, experience this amazing cosmic adventure by sharing in the passion of our universe! John also custom built his planetarium truck where he can be on the go to catch the next colorful clusters or comet showers. “All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of my wonderful wife, Christina, and our daughter, Megan.” Humble, creative, and curious - just like our roots in this illuminating landscape of mysterious astronomical beauty.
