Raised outside a farm town, Peter studied fine arts in college and came to directing from a visual perspective (alt comic books are a particular love); but it’s working with actors, from Broadway to Hollywood to the comedy clubs of our glorious land that drives Peter’s passion for storytelling.
In New York City, Peter had made promos and directed anything from short animations to half hour shows for MTV. Commercials and music videos followed, including Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, RUN DMC, De La Soul, Salt n’ Pepa (Push It), Suicidal Tendencies and more.
The Adventures Of Pete and Pete was Peter’s first television series and many odd cable productions followed, notably Strangers with Candy with Amy Sedaris, Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello. The Nickelodeon movie Cry Baby Lane happened - which was weird but worth a Google. Otherwise he had a band, put out a CD (which he still has a surplus of) and started a family.
Since the early 2000’s, Peter has directed renowned shows such as; Emily in Paris, Younger, Shady Neighbors, Arrested Development, Awkward, Young Sheldon, Reaper and Malcolm in the Middle. Currently, Peter teaches a Script Analysis course for directors at UCLA Extension.
