Born and raised in Peru; he has known, since childhood, that drawing is his passion. But that was not uncommon coming from a gifted family of musicians, poets, actors, writers, and even painters. It was normal to find constant inspiration between his uncles and cousins.
At 21 years old, he immigrated to the United States to follow his childhood dream, Art. He studied in the prestigious American Academy of Art in Chicago, then he came over to California, a year later, to start creating his best artwork ever, and building his family.
Twenty-four years later, with the support of his whole family; he's dedicating all of his time to painting and creating; after many years working in different areas; such as hand painting ceramic, as a graphic artist, mixed media application and in the apparel industry, and always painting on the side during any spare moment.
He enjoys networking with other artists and sharing creative inspirations to broaden his landscapes of artistic mastery. Roger’s scenes are infused with an old world comfort and strong female figures frozen in a timeless scope.
